Wellness is the future of luxury residential construction, and Bradford Custom Homes & Remodeling is bringing that philosophy to life through its most recent project, Vitala. Located in Buckhead, the project is being built for the 2026 Home for the Holidays Showhouse as a collaborative effort: Bradford Custom Homes is the builder, with Brad Robinson leading the project; architecture is by Rodolfo Castro of Castro Design Studio; interiors are by Rajevac Design Studio; landscape is by Land Plus; the pool is by White Marlin;
and the property is represented by Chase Mizell with Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby’s International Realty.
Vitala, derived from the name vitalis, meaning “of life” or “life-giving,” embodies the idea of
making the people living in the home feel better. Set on 4.45 private, wooded acres, Vitala was
conceived as a “House of Life,” centered around the ideas of wellness, privacy, nature, and the
overall essence of how the spaces make the homeowner feel.
Rather than treating wellness as an amenity added to a home, Vitala incorporates health and
well-being throughout the residential experience. Vitala includes circadian lighting, whole-home
water filtration, air purification, a gym and recovery area, sauna, cold plunge, wellness lounge,
and bath. This idea continues throughout other spaces of the home, such as the lower-level
experience. Rather than treating the basement as a secondary space, the entire lower level is
dedicated to leisure and recovery, with a wine and tasting room, lounge and bar, golf simulator,
theater, gym, sauna, cold plunge, and wellness suite.
Further emphasizing the design direction, which focuses on serenity, warmth, escape,
discovery, and connection to nature, the natural setting extends throughout the architecture and
outdoor living spaces. The property where Vitala is being built has mature hardwood views and
no neighboring home directly in the rear view. The sense of privacy and connection to the
landscape is a major part of the wellness story of Vitala. Through indoor and outdoor spaces,
the rear porch features a cypress barrel-vault ceiling, outdoor kitchen, and retractable screens,
complemented by the pool and spa and a detached pavilion with its own fireplace.
Vitala builds on Bradford Custom Homes & Remodeling’s growing body of work exploring the
relationship between residential construction and wellness. Earlier this year, Bradford completed
Project Golden Leaf, a Marietta custom home designed around health, longevity, and resilience.
The completed residence was recently featured on the cover of Atlanta Style & Design in a
feature highlighting its wellness-focused approach. With Vitala, Bradford is continuing to explore
how these principles can be expanded into a larger luxury residential experience.
Construction of Vitala is set to be complete in November 2026 and will be featured as the 2026
Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles Home for the Holidays Showhouse. For Bradford Custom Homes &
Remodeling, the project represents more than participation in a prestigious showhouse. It is an
opportunity to share Brad’s perspective on changing homeowner priorities and the growing
demand for wellness-centered homes.
